Hundreds of butterflies will provide a spectacular finale to a new interactive family exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London. Amazing Butterflies will allow visitors to get up close with species from North America, Africa and Asia. A giant activity maze also takes people on a journey from egg to caterpillar and chrysalis to butterfly. The exhibition at the museum in South Kensington, west London, runs from Saturday until 17 August. Entering the interactive maze as a caterpillar, visitors will find themselves in a secret world with grass and leaves towering above. Parcipants will encounter challenges as they try to avoid poisonous plants and predators and emerge as a butterfly. After surviving the maze visitors will find themselves in the tropical butterfly house where they can watch butterflies emerge from their chrysalises and feed at the feeding station.
