School friends of a 16-year-old boy stabbed to death in the street have planted a tree in his memory. Ben Hitchcock was knifed in the stomach in Beckenham, south-east London, when a fight broke out over gatecrashers at a party on 23 June.
About 20 teenagers have been arrested and released on bail, but police are still searching for witnesses.
The memorial was attended by pupils and teachers at Kelsey Park Sports College, in Beckenham.
Ben's mother Leigh previously described him as "the kindest, happiest and most loving boy that ever walked this earth".
She said that her son would be missed "terribly".
