A teenage girl has denied fatally stabbing a 17-year-old through the heart in south London. Sian Simpson was stabbed during an attack by a group of teenagers in Mann Close, Croydon, on the evening of 19 June.
Chelsea Bennett, 18, of London Road, Croydon, pleaded not guilty to murder at the Old Bailey on Monday.
Miss Bennett was remanded in custody until the start of her trial scheduled on 6 May 2008.
