Cash fares on buses remain the same |
Bus fares for Oyster Card users in London have been cut. A single bus fare has gone down from 1 to 90p, from Sunday. The price of a weekly bus pass has also been reduced by 1 to 13.
The cash price of a single bus fare was raised in January this year and remains at 2. London Underground fares remain unchanged.
The cut has been announced by the mayor of London who says he is passing on the savings made by Transport for London.
Passenger watchdog London TravelWatch welcomed the price reduction, but added: "We think it is a pity that cash fares couldn't have been reduced as well.
"This means there is an even bigger differential than previously between those who use Oyster, and those who are paying with cash."
