A 17-year-old has appeared before West London Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of a youth worker outside Brixton Tube station in south London. Nathan Foster, 18, was found by police with bullet wounds in Marcus Garvey Way on Friday night.
He was with a group of 10 or 11 youths when they were approached by a man on a motorbike who opened fire.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was remanded in custody until 15 August.
He will appear next at Balham Youth Court.
A boy, 14, has been released on police bail.
Detectives said the motive for Mr Foster's killing was unclear but there were reports the shooting was over a piece of jewellery.
Mr Foster died in hospital later on Friday evening.
His murder brings the number of teenagers killed in London this year to 17.
