Two people have been arrested on suspicion of controlling prostitution and money laundering following a raid on two brothels in central London. The raids were the result of a two-month intelligence led undercover operation, codenamed Calcio.
The addresses on Warwick Way and Rochester Row, in Belgravia, were raided at midday on Thursday.
The two arrested are a 32-year-old woman and a man, 42. Police also seized �9,000 from the premises.
Police also found five suspected prostitutes at the properties.
Pc Chris Brown, of the Metropolitan Police's Clubs and Vice Unit, said: "This is the latest in a series of operations that we have been carrying out to clampdown on those who make large amounts of money by controlling women in the vice trade."
