Online touts are selling �60 tickets for Saturday's FA Cup Final for �2,000 despite laws being introduced to stop overpricing, BBC London has learned. The Violent Crime and Reduction Act made law five weeks ago was designed to make ticket touts illegal.
However, within an hour of a posting being put on one website, BBC London was approached by sellers offering �60 FA Cup Final tickets for �2,000.
The Home Office said there have been no prosecutions of online touts, to date.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed it would not prosecute unless it is asked to do so.
Officials from the Football Association say they are already monitoring sites but insisted the new law needed to be implemented thoroughly in order to tackle the problem.
Andrin Cooper, from the FA, said: "We're very glad the new legislation is in place but it's how it's enforced."
"It needs to be enforced very rigorously to be effective."
Sellers can face fines of �5,000 if they are convicted under the new legislation.
