Wembley will host its first FA Cup final since 2000

The "photochromic degradation" began about six months ago and they have now been ripped out.

A Wembley Stadium spokesman said the builder, Mulitiplex, has paid for the replacement of the seats which are said to number fewer than 10,000.

Last July, the 90,000-seater north London venue replaced 5,000 seats after a problem with the red dye.

A Wembley Stadium spokesman said: "The seats faded in colour and they have been replaced. The builder has paid for the replacement.

"No events will be affected by this and the stadium's capacity remains unaffected."

Wembley will host the FA Cup final on 19 May between Chelsea and Manchester United.

The first game to be played at the new stadium was staged in March, when England's under-21 team drew 3-3 with Italy.

The game was the second of two events the stadium had to host before being granted a safety certificate.
