Five boys have denied killing a pensioner who collapsed and died while playing cricket on an outdoor pitch.

Ernest Norton, 67, was at Erith Leisure Centre in south-east London in February 2006 when he was hit on the head by a missile and suffered a heart attack.

Two brothers, aged 11 and 12, another two boys aged 13 and a 14-year-old pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and violent disorder at the Old Bailey.

They were all bailed and are due to stand trial on 30 July.

Post-mortem tests showed Mr Norton died from a heart attack aggravated by a previous condition and a head injury.
