The new ground has a 60,000-seat capacity |
Match-day overcrowding and transport woes are due to be discussed at an Arsenal community liaison meeting. Residents and fans have complained to the club about the length of time it takes to get away from the new Emirates Stadium in north London.
The committee was set up as part of the club's move to its new 60,000 seat home in Ashburton Grove last summer.
Invited to the meeting are resident and business groups, Islington Council, police, and transport officials.
'Too expensive'
Some supporters have complained it can take up to an hour to get away after matches.
Islington Council, which granted planning approval for the stadium, previously said transport links were not adequate.
The main Tube stops for the stadium, Arsenal, Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington, are considered to have insufficient capacity.
The council and fans said a decision not to invest in upgrading Holloway Road and Drayton Park, a local railway station, had been a mistake.
Plans to upgrade Holloway Road, which has a limited service on match-days, were scrapped after studies found the cost of enlargement was too expensive.
Drayton Park, the closest station to the stadium, is closed on weekends when most Arsenal home matches take place - because of insufficient demand according to the train operator.
Arsenal said it would turn its attention to transport after tackling stadium management issues.
