Youth in court over boy's death
Martin Dinnegan
Seven young Londoners have been murdered in the city in recent days
A teenager has appeared in court charged with the murder of schoolboy Martin Dinnegan.

Martin, 14, was chased by up to 20 youths before being stabbed in the chest in Tollington Way, Islington, on Tuesday night.

The 15-year-old defendant appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court where he was remanded to Thames Youth Court until Friday.

Police arrested a third man on Saturday in connection with the killing.

The man, in his 20s, is being held at an east London police station.

Metropolitan Police officers are continuing to question a 20-year-old man also arrested over Martin's death.
