Teenager killed at petrol station
Stephen Boachie
Stephen was attacked on the forecourt of the Shell garage
A teenager has died after being stabbed at a petrol station in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Stephen Boachie, 17, a student living in Dagenham, east London, was attacked on the forecourt of the Shell garage in Barking, east London.

He was taken to hospital but died later that day from stab wounds.

Police are keen to speak to people who would have been leaving the nearby Thatched House pub where New Year celebrations were held.

Det Ch Insp Simon Moring said: "It is likely that people would have been leaving the party at around the time of the murder and may have seen what happened.

"I am also appealing to people in the forecourt of the garage at the time of the incident to contact police."

Police said Stephen was from Ghana.
