The tracking devices are monitored via a computer |
Fancy dress costumes which allow parents to keep a close watch on their children as they tout for treats at Halloween have gone on sale. Devised by staff at Angels Fancy Dress in central London, the hi-tech outfits cost 500 each.
The battery-powered gadgets, which work for up to five hours, are fitted with a global positioning system which can be tracked via computer.
It can also relay information about how long and where children stop off.
Rob Slator, of TrackerShack, who provided the technology, said: "Used sensibly, trackers can be great safety devices for kids, and can provide reassurance for parents."
But he stressed that they could not replace "adequate parental supervision."
