The uncle of a 20-year-old woman whose body was found in a suitcase has been charged with her murder. Banaz Mahmod Babakir Agha, of Mitcham, south London, disappeared in January.
Police recovered the suitcase containing the remains, thought to be those of the missing woman, during a search of a garden in Birmingham.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said Ari Babakir Aga, 50, from Mitcham, had been charged with his niece's murder and is due to appear in court on Monday.
Tests under way
A 29-year-old man has already been charged with murder, and a total of 16 other people have been arrested and released on police bail.
Police said four suspects who were re-arrested for further questioning have now been released on police bail.
Banaz, who is of Kurdish origin, had not withdrawn any money since she vanished, and did not take a change of clothing or a passport with her.
A post-mortem examination is being conducted at a Birmingham mortuary.
