London celebrates St George's Day
Charlie Chaplin
Four of Chaplin's films will be shown in Leicester Square
Several of London's landmarks are to celebrate St George's Day with special line-ups to mark England's contribution to art and culture.

Shakespeare's Globe on the South Bank will host a day of Roman-style warriors and queens, even inviting visitors on to the stage to recite a line or two.

Meanwhile, in Leicester Square audiences can catch screenings of Charlie Chaplin's classic films.

The free shows on a big screen include the Tramp, the Kid and Modern Times.

Events have been organised by the London Mayor's office.
