Associated Newspapers is to launch a free afternoon newspaper called London Lite next month. The paper will be available in central London each weekday from noon, with a circulation of 350,000-400,000 copies.
Standard Lite, the free lunchtime edition of the Evening Standard with is also produced by Associated Newspapers, is to be discontinued.
Earlier this month, News International said it was to launch a free sheet called The London Paper in September.
It is to have a staff of 70, including journalists, will have a distribution of 400,000 and be distributed in Central London from 1630 to 1730.
The Evening Standard will continue to be sold in the same area with some changes to edition times.
The Evening Standard will also relaunch its This Is London website.
