London's students are being helped to go green with recycling bins and collections being put in place at halls of residence. The scheme, run by the Mayor of London and voluntary organisation Crisp, has been piloted at South Bank University.
Organisers say the recycling and re-use project has been created in response to the demands of students.
The Mayor's environment advisor John Duffy is launching the scheme at City Hall.
Founder Victoria Hands will talk about the project's potential for increasing recycling rates across London.
