Punkscience will show how science relates to everyday life |
A comedy quartet is to incorporate three of Albert Einstein's theories into its stand up routine to inspire the next generation of physicists. Brownian Motion, the Photoelectric Effect and Special and General Relativity will be tackled in an hour-long performance by Punkscience.
The show, which is part of Einstein Year, takes place at the Science Museum in west London, on 1 and 8 February.
The project aims to demonstrate the relevance of science to everyday life.
'Hardcore physics'
Einstein Year also marks the 100th anniversary since the genius put out three of the four papers that would change the way we viewed the universe.
Punkscience is made of up comedians Jon Milton and Kat Nilsson, musician Bradford Gross, and mime artist and juggler Ben Samuels.
Jon said: "The point is that this is really, really hardcore physics. Not the cool sort that lets you make a robot. Just the sort that explains why the universe had to have had a Big Bang, what gravity actually is, and why Star Trek is rubbish.
"But if two comedians, a clown and a rock drummer can get to grips with it, then, frankly, anyone can."
