Tube photos give homeless insight
A portrait from Stories from Gilded Pavements

Homeless people have worked with a top photographer to create an exhibition which hopes to give an insight into how they live their lives.

Anthony Luvera helped his subjects take their own pictures for the series of photographs going on show in 11 central London Tube station from Tuesday.

The 30-year-old Australian said the images would help people understand a life they "simply can't imagine".

The exhibition "Stories from Gilded Pavements" runs until March.

Mr Luvera said: "The images the participants created give an insight into a life most of us simply can't imagine, while the Assisted Self Portraits show that there is no 'us and them' in regards to homelessness.

"It could be anybody in the picture. So it's important that we share the results in an environment that is as public and accessible as possible."
