Hollywood superstar Paul Newman entertained 300 sick and disabled children in London when he took a 10-minute guest turn at Zippos Circus. The 79-year-old Oscar winner took on the role of a slapstick clown using the name Butch Bolognese.
All the youngsters were invited from organisations helped by sales of his Newman's Own products.
The actor started the not-for-profit company in 1982 and has donated more than $150m to charities worldwide.

The star of films like The Hustler and Cool Hand Luke appeared in a green bowler hat, outsize bowtie , giant yellow clown shoes and a red clown's nose before revealing his true identity.
Among his slapstick capers were having a bucket of spaghetti poured over his head and sitting in a cream pie.
Although parents of the children knew the identity of the clown the youngsters initially had no idea who the comic performer was.
Mr Newman joked: "I'm not by inclination a clown. This will certainly end my professional career."
