The funeral of the Liberal Democrat MP Jenny Tongue's daughter has taken place. Mary Wherry, 34, was electrocuted at her Hampton home in south-west London on 31 July, a post mortem examination showed.
A Lib Dem spokesman said: "The whole family are completely devastated."
He added: "They are trying to come to terms with the loss not only of Jenny's daughter but of the mother of two young children".
Investment bank
In a statement released to the Richmond and Twickenham Times, Ms Tonge, the MP for Richmond, said: "Mary was everything I always wanted to be."
Mrs Wherry worked for the investment bank Goldman Sachs for several years before starting a family.
Former GP Dr Tonge, 63, won Richmond Park, in south-west London, from the Tories in 1997.
In October last year she announced she would not be standing at the next general election.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said Mrs Wherry's death was not suspicious.
