Tribunal to hear 'squash sacking'
Tube train
Christmas strikes over the sacking were called off at the last minute
A Tube driver who was sacked for playing squash while on sick leave will have his case for unfair dismissal heard at a tribunal next month.

Chris Barrett claims he was wrongly fired by London Underground, which maintains it acted fairly.

The Rail Maritime and Transport union will defend Mr Barrett and demand his reinstatement at the tribunal in March.

Hammersmith & City line workers staged a one-day strike last November in protest against his sacking.

Two further strikes planned for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve were called off at the last minute.

The tribunal is scheduled for the 10 and 11 March.
