The films are informed by experiences of being disabled |
A diverse range of films created by disabled people are among those to be screened at London's fifth Disability Film Festival. The London Disability Arts Forum is holding the event at the National Film Theatre on the South Bank from Thursday.
The festival will include short and feature-length films, animations, documentaries and experimental pieces.
A spokesman for the festival said: "Disabled people, both as audiences and professionals, continue to be marginalised in film and television.
"Disabled film-makers have clear creative ownership of the majority of the films which will be screened and these films are informed by the experience of living in a disabling world."
There will also be a number of debates and discussions on film and disability.
The Disability Film Festival runs until Sunday.
