Collision pilot to be retrained
The Red Arrows
One of the pilots carried out an incorrect manoeuvre
A pilot is to be retrained after a collision between two Red Arrows planes during an exercise in Lincolnshire.

The tip of one plane touched the tail of another during training over their base at RAF Scampton near Lincoln.

A Red Arrows spokeswoman said one pilot carried out an incorrect move and will now be re-taught the manoeuvre.

No-one was injured during the collision on Friday. Pilots of the seven aircraft flying at the time will be checked before they resume normal training.

All pilots are to be briefed again about the manoeuvre as a result of the collision.

The spokeswoman said it was a "minor incident" but was being treated extremely seriously, as safety is the number one priority.
