More than 80 jobs axed at factory
Dozens of jobs are to go at an industrial turbine manufacturing factory in Lincolnshire.

The 85 redundancies at the Siemens plant in Lincoln are part of a drive to cut administration and support costs.

A spokesman said the company regrets the move, but it was part of a global drive to improve competitiveness.

Managers said they were working closely with trade unions to limit the number of compulsory job losses through a voluntary redundancy programme.

Siemens employs more than 2,000 at its Lincoln plant, which manufactures industrial gas turbines for the oil and gas industry.
