Bosses at a Lincolnshire hospital trust have said they are determined not to get into debt again, after running up a 17.5m deficit this financial year. United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust's acting chief executive Helen Scott-South said money saving measures will be implemented immediately.
These include cutting back on bank staff and reducing overtime.
Significant job losses are expected to be announced at the trust over the next six weeks.
Unions have already expressed concerns over the affect of cuts on services.
A new turnaround manager will be appointed on Tuesday to help reign in spending at the trust.
