A Lincolnshire brewery is running out of beer because of high demand caused by the recent hot weather. Bateman's Brewery based at Wainfleet All Saints said this summer's World Cup had also increased demand.
"We have been hit by some very large wholesale orders," Stuart Bateman from Bateman's said.
The brewery also delivered some beer that was expected to condition in the cask, but he said it did not age properly and had to be recalled.
He said normal supplies should resume in less than a week.
Mr Bateman said the firm did not want to send out any more beer until it was certain the product was absolutely ready.
"Any year that has a major sporting event like the Ashes or World Cup causes an enormous demand for beer," he added.
