Bogus RSPCA officer asks for cash
A man in his late teens has been posing as an RSPCA officer trying to get cash for the charity when calling at homes in a Lincolnshire town.

He was wore an RSPCA-style uniform and carried an ID card while in Turner Crescent and Brook Street, Grantham.

No money was given to the man as the two homeowners did not believe he was a genuine charity collector.

Police enquiries revealed the RSPCA did have representatives in the area at the time of the incidents.

Police reminded people to always ask for identification of cold callers.

If residents are unsure they are advised not to let them into the house or donate any money, but to contact police immediately.
