Seaside pool to reopen next year
The chosen option for the Fairy Dell pool
An historic paddling pool in Skegness that has been closed for a year is to be restored.

More than 800 people responded to a survey asking how the Fairy Dell should be refurbished.

The pool was closed last autumn after water quality problems were discovered, but 4,000 people signed a petition asking it to be reopened.

East Lindsey District Council will restore the pool with its existing fountain and a new bridge.

The restoration plans also include an access ramp to the main pool, a new pool surround and a refurbished shelter.

The council said the Fairy Dell restoration will cost about 250,000 and should be completed by next summer.
