Free bus travel under discussion
Talks are to start between North Lincolnshire Council and bus operators on how free bus travel will be introduced for people aged over 60.

Bus companies will be asked about the practical and financial aspects of the scheme, due to start next April.

The changes will save some passengers hundreds of pounds and could prompt more people to use public transport.

Meanwhile, Market Weighton will have a new bus service from this week. The three-month trial will be free.

It will operate on Tuesday afternoons and Friday mornings.

Campaigner Martha Hanson said a lot of people would benefit and if the trial was successful the service could be extended.
