The changes come after concerns that people would not be able to park for short periods of time for free.

The �2.50 charge for any period up to four hours is being reduced to �1 for the first hour from Monday.

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust had said the charges were necessary to the raise the �1.1m needed to run the car parks.

Plans to bring in the reduction were announced in December after fees were initially raised to fund parking facilities at four county hospitals.
