Car parking charges at hospitals in Lincolnshire are being reduced after complaints from patients and visitors. The changes come after concerns that people would not be able to park for short periods of time for free.
The 2.50 charge for any period up to four hours is being reduced to 1 for the first hour from Monday.
The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust had said the charges were necessary to the raise the 1.1m needed to run the car parks.
Plans to bring in the reduction were announced in December after fees were initially raised to fund parking facilities at four county hospitals.
