Council moves to save aging pool
A district council has promised to invest more money in a swimming pool and other facilities at a Lincs park.

East Lindsey District Council supported a call for better facilities at a Woodhall Spa's Jubilee Park at a meeting on Monday.

The park, which opened in 1935, attracts people from across the county.

"The swimming pool has deteriorated over the years and something needs to be done very soon," parish council leader Tony Bennison said.

He said the parish council had been worried the swimming pool might be forced to close because of a lack of cash, but their concerns those fears were put to rest at the meeting.

District council officials had assured them the park would remain open, he added.
