New ways of reducing youth crime are being tried out in Lincolnshire. The county's youth offending service, drug and alcohol action team, police and local magistrates are meeting youngsters to discuss problems.
On Friday, the team were at Lincoln Christ's Hospital School where pupils took part in workshops and seminars on how to be better citizens.
Organisers said it was important to involve children in crime reduction projects from early on.
John Simpkins, the head of Lincolnshire youth offending service, said: "You have got to be talking to young people and informing them about the difficulties they may get into and the consequences of their behaviour.
"They should be made aware that crime is something which affects all of us.
"It affects them, their families, their communities and, of course, not least the victims."
