Residents in a Derbyshire village say crime and anti-social behaviour have risen in the two years they have been without a regular police officer. Villagers in Breaston have been campaigning for a bobby on the beat.
They say they are concerned by incidents of vandalism and misbehaviour by young people, some of whom visit from outside the area.
But Pc Doug Neely, a Long Eaton youth involvement officer, said police are examining ways to ease the situation.
He said officers are trying to patrol Breaston on a more regular basis.
