Group suffers volunteer drought

One in six people suffer from mental illness
Support groups who work with people who have mental health problems in Lincolnshire say they are suffering a lack of volunteers.

The groups based in Skegness, Spilsby and Chapel St Leonards, which are run by the NHS, enable people with mental health problems to make friends.

They take part in activities such as day trips and board games.

Officials say the volunteers need to be reliable and approachable, but do not need previous experience.

The weekly sessions seek to build the confidence of patients.
