People who drop litter in a Lincolnshire town will be publicly shamed in a "rogues gallery". CCTV images of people discarding litter in Boston will be used in a new "zero-tolerance" campaign to clean up Boston.
The pictures will be published in the local media with the aim of publicly identifying those responsible.
Officials admit it is a tough move, but say they are determined to stop people littering the streets in what they are calling a "no-nonsense" policy.
In another move the town council is asking people to fill incident cards reporting those responsible for littering or dog fouling.
Council staff have already issued 14 fixed penalty tickets for 50 each to people dropping litter or allowing their dogs to foul the pavements in the last two months.
