Money raised in teen's memory
Luke Walmsley
Luke Walmsley was stabbed at school
Lincolnshire firefighters are preparing to walk 14 miles in full kit to raise money in memory of schoolboy Luke Walmsley.

They will walk from North Somercotes to Louth, in Lincolnshire, on Saturday.

Luke, 14, died after being stabbed at the Birkbeck School in North Somercotes last November.

The 13 firefighters taking part in the walk have raised 3,000 so far and hope to collect more along the way.

They will be wearing full breathing apparatus during the event.

Money raised will be donated to the Luke Walmsley Sports Foundation, which the Walmsley family established after the teenager's death.

The money will be used to build a sports hall in North Somercotes.
