Cards used to rank issues
People in South Kesteven, Lincolnshire, are being asked to use playing cards to rank the area's problems.

A series of public meetings are taking place to create a 'Route Map to the Future'.

The cards will be used to grade the seriousness of individual issues.

South Kesteven District Council's chief executive, Duncan Kerr, said the idea was better than simply asking people to write letters.

He said: "The council has never gone out and said 'what are your priorities?'"

The council hopes to target five priorities from 13 issues, such as anti-social behaviour, tourism, affordable housing, recycling, support for vulnerable people and business development.

The public meetings run until 3 February.
