Glyn Jones went on the run from North Sea Camp Open Prison near Boston earlier this month.

Jones was serving a 30-month jail sentence for aggravated burglary.

He was given an extra three months on his sentence after pleading guilty at Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday to escaping from custody.

Jones had been transferred from a closed prison to North Sea Camp but he walked out within eight hours of arriving in protest at the conditions.

The court was told that Jones, 23, and originally from Grantham, is a recovering heroin addict and had been shocked to be offered both drink and drugs by other inmates.
