A Lincolnshire man arrested by police using a stun gun has been charged with false imprisonment. Armed police officers responded to reports that a man was threatening a woman with a knife in Market Deeping on Friday afternoon.
Alan Thomas Gay, 46, who is from the Market Deeping area but gives his home address as Peterborough, will appear at Grantham Magistrates Court on Monday charged with false imprisonment.
It is the third time Lincolnshire Police have used the taser gun.
The man, who was arrested and questioned at Spalding police station, was examined at hospital.
He was not injured by the stun gun.
The incident is been referred to the Police Complaints Authority has a matter of routine.
