Safety plea to Bank Holiday drivers
Motorists are being warned to take extra care on Lincolnshire's roads on what is expected to be the busiest day of the year.

It comes after four more people were killed in separate crashes over the weekend.

The Bank Holiday attracts more people to the coast and many of these are unfamiliar with the roads.

There is concern this, combined with people travelling to Cadwell Park for the British Superbikes, could increase the risk of accidents.

Farm vehicles

Safety campaigners are worried it could be a potentially lethal combination.

About 35,000 people are expected to travel to the Lincolnshire round of the British Superbike Championships at Cadwell Park racing circuit, near Louth.

Steve Batchelor from the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, said: "When there is such a large number of motorcycles and you combine that with traffic going to the coast, it's dangerous.

"Add to that the fact you still have got the agricultural period going on with farmers taking their slow moving vehicles onto single track 60 mph roads.

"The potential for dangerous situations and collisions is incredible."
