The victim of a road rage attack has spoken to the BBC about his ordeal. Gordon Springall, from Shepshed in Leicestershire, was deliberately run down as he walked his dog Holly in a country lane.
On Wednesday, a jury at Lincoln Crown Court convicted John McKinney, from Nottingham, of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and dangerous driving.
Speaking the day after the verdict, Mr Springall said: "It all happened so very, very quickly.

"It was one hell of a bang as it hit me... and then I passed out as I hit the floor. "I came round with people standing around me and I tried to stand and I couldn't... I honestly felt at that point my back was broken.
"He hit me in the centre of my back.
"My head went through the back screen, smashed that, I then went onto the floor and the car pushed me along through the gravel of the road."

Mr Springall was taking a late night walk along a lane at Woolsthorpe, in Lincolnshire, two years ago when he was hit. McKinney slammed on his brakes and reversed into Mr Springall after he had annoyed him by gesturing for him to slow down.
Jailing McKinney for life the judge branded his actions unforgivable.
McKinney could be out on parole in just three years.
