fire
The fire forced the evacuation of nearby homes
The BBC has learnt that action was being taken against a tyre warehouse at Kirton, near Boston, before a huge fire destroyed it.

Officers have revealed they were concerned about whether or not planning regulation conditions were being met at the site and had started talks with the owner.

People evacuated from their homes in the surrounding area have spent a third night with relatives and friends after fears asbestos particles had escaped.

The 30 families affected should find out on Monday whether they will be allowed back.

Safety officials are currently conducting contamination tests on soil surrounding LTD Import and Export on Wash Road.

The A16 which passes through the village remains closed.

There is just one fire engine on site as the fire continues to burn itself out.
