A warehouse will give youngsters a place to practice their moves
Sport enthusiasts are celebrating after a two year campaign for a skate park has proved successful.

A former grain warehouse in Lincoln will be transformed after project leaders were awarded a grant of 70,000.

The skate park steering group was set up two years ago and had spent its time raising cash and finding a suitable venue.

The park will offer a safe place for skateboarders and BMX bike riders and will be built in a warehouse on Beevor Street off Tritton Road.

Lincoln City Council has granted planning permission for the park which is being funded by the public and private sector.
