Foxes fans given police warning

Police in Leicestershire are warning football fans not to travel to a top-of-the-table clash unless they already have a ticket.

Ticket allocation for away fans for the Leicester City v Peterborough United match on Saturday has sold out.

Police said any Leicester City fans found in the home areas of the London Road ground would be asked to leave.

The force will be sending 25 of its officers to assist with the policing of the match.

Tickets cancelled

Ch Supt Chris Rollings, of Leicestershire Police, said: "The entire away team allocation of over 4,000 tickets have already been sold and the game is a complete sell-out.

"Leicester City fans will be unable to purchase tickets in home areas.

"Peterborough are working with Leicester City Football Club to identify Foxes fans and any bookings made in home areas will be cancelled.

"The message is simple, if you don't have a ticket, don't travel to Peterborough on Saturday thinking you will be able to get into the stadium."
