Public puts transport to the test
People living in Leicestershire are being encouraged to take part in an area's biggest ever transport survey.

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council is recruiting a cross-section of locals, from students to pensioners and mums on the school run to help.

They will test out the area's forms of transport, both public and private.

The results of the survey will be used to challenge providers to improve services and help people to use their cars less frequently.

Car drivers are investigating bus services and train passengers are putting taxis to the test.

Their findings will then be used by the borough council to identify the best and worst aspects of transport provision before it then questions the area's main bus, rail and taxi operators about what they are willing to do to improve.
