New anti-vandal cameras installed
More "FlashCams" - designed to catch vandals who attack trains - are being installed after an inital programme proved successful.

Central Trains had faced a 300,000 bill every year to clean graffiti from its stock.

The train company says vandalism across its network has been cut by 75%, and it is now putting up cameras in sidings near Leicester and Cambridge stations.

The cameras are motion-sensitive and start when carriages are approached.

Central Trains operates services from Birmingham to locations across the East and West Midlands.

There is a big flash and a loud message telling people that the police have been informed.

The first cameras were installed in January at the cost of around 1,300 each.

All photos so far taken are in the hands of the British Transport Police and six cases are pending.
