Students banned from supermarket
Safeway store front
Safeway will review the ban
The principal of a school in Loughborough has backed a decision by a local supermarket to ban his pupils.

Security staff at Safeway, at Gorse Covert, are stopping unaccompanied teenagers going in at lunchtimes in large numbers after a fight outside the store.

The store manager agreed the ban with the principal of Burleigh Community College, John Smith, but it will apply to pupils from all schools in the town.

Safeway said it may review the ban in the New Year.

Mr Smith said he wanted to prevent a few students giving a bad reputation to the whole college.
