Inquiry launched into boy's death
Paul Moran
Paul Moran had a "positive attitude", his headteacher said
Police are investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy who was found unconscious in the bedroom of his Lancashire home.

Paul Moran, a pupil at Lytham St Annes High School, was found by his family in his room at the house in Spring Gardens, St Annes, on Sunday.

He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he later died.

An investigation into the cause of his death is under way, but it is not thought to be suspicious.

The headteacher at Lytham St Annes High School, Philip Wood, said that Paul was a "pleasant and friendly pupil with a positive attitude to school".

He said that a team of trained counsellors were at the school to help pupils and staff come to terms with the death.

Det Insp Andy Webster, of Lancashire Police, said: "Our thoughts are very much with the family.

"This is a tragic event, which naturally they are struggling to come to terms with."
