| A police officer from Merseyside has died in a motorway crash in Lancashire. The officer was killed when his motorbike collided with a truck on the M58 in Skelmersdale. The motorway was closed in both directions, between junctions four and five eastbound, and from the M6 link at junction 26 westbound. Police have not yet identified the Pc, who was on a motorcycle training course. They said an investigation into the incident was under way.
